Hi all,

This is Kevin. I am about to do a project on exploring the maker culture of cake making. Cake has been known as a glorious form of food, that is edible, adorable, and completely digestible.

I have never bake a cake before, so this is most likely going to be challenging. I will do research on how to bake cakes from other amateur bakers' blogs, and start with the easiest kind to the rather more complicated forms of cake, in order to achieve the ultimate goal of creating the unbelievable cake.

The result cake is unbelievable for it is made by someone who has never bake a cake in his life. Perhaps the taste of it won't be impressive or even a total disaster, it is guaranteed to be edible.

Starting today, I will dedicate part of my own personal time to the culture of cake, by participating the cake forms on the internet, as well as purchase various kinds of cakes to taste as inspiration.

All the best. All hail all the unknown cakes.

  1. The most challenging part of your maker experience willl be purchasing cakes to get inspired, am I right? ;)

Cake is such a celebrative food. I feel like the birds from your background should be wearing party hats or something. Baking is a great skill to have, Kevin. The words you chose lead me to think that you're taking this challenge very seriously. Good luck!

  2. I agree with that point, also breaking eggs. It's so challenging for me personally.

Thank you for the comment Roxanne! I am taking this seriously. Although I am not a person who consumes deserts or sweet food in general often, I admit the pleasure and satisfaction of eating a cake is not possible to resist. Cheers!

  3. Hi Kevin,
I am really enjoying the drama of your writing style. It sounds like there are a lot of websites out there that have something to say about cake. How will you decide who is right?! Enjoy all the experimenting.
